Challenge:
Crowd pleaser and Olympic Gold medalist, Lindsey Vonn has quickly shot to fame for her amazing 5-event downhill skiing and enduring personality. Working closely with Vail Resorts, we were tasked with developing a Microsite to promote Lindsey’s athletic accomplishments as well as her journey to the 2010 Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver.
The primary goal of this microsite was to provide a behind-the-scenes view into the social persona of an Olympic athlete. A secondary, but equally important initiative included promoting Vail Resorts as a destination for both US and International visitors.
Result:
The Lindsey is Epic site combines some of skiing’s most impressive accomplishments with a glimpse into the life of this ever-popular superstar. By aggregating social media platforms such as Twitter and Flickr, the site connects Lindsey with fans, ski enthusiasts and the general public like never before. The site proudly displays a wealth of information about Lindsey, her life and her passion for skiing.
